Cloud Document Management: What Makes It So Secure?

Here at Watermark Technologies, we offer a cloud-based document management software known as Papercloud. This paperless system uses our innovative cloud-based document management software (DMS), meaning you can access it via the web wherever and whenever you like, with no need to install or maintain the software manually on your device(s).

But, what makes this so secure? We’ll cover just that in this blog. Keep reading to learn more.

Automated Backups

Being cloud-based, Papercloud benefits from live, automated updates. This ensures that your system is always up-to-date, meaning there are reduced risks of security attacks due to out-of-date software.

Our robust infrastructure also includes multi-site redundancy, which means that critical data and services are replicated and distributed across multiple geographically diverse locations. This eliminates any single point of failure, ensuring uninterrupted access and data availability even in the event of an unexpected outage or disaster at one location.

Multi-Layered Data Security

Papercloud is fully secure and encrypted with multi-layered data security. What this means is that security measures are implemented across various layers of its infrastructure, making it harder for hackers to break into.

For example, if one security layer becomes compromised, others still remain unbreached, ultimately making it harder for hackers to gain access to your data. This ensures your data remains safe and secure.

Resilient to Ransomware

Should your device fall prey to ransomware and become infected, then you don’t have to worry about your data being stolen or held to ransom. Because your data is securely stored on the cloud, you can simply reconnect to it once your device has been reset and cleared of any malware.
