PROPERTY

Property managers, Chartered Surveyors, Town Planners, Building Consultants, Project Managers, Estate Agents - all need clear and concise document management.

As with most businesses today, both Estate Agents and property management companies are coming under increasing pressure to comply with industry regulations this often leads to the production and storage of masses of paperwork.

In recent times, this documentation has increased dramatically with the introduction by the Government of the compulsory home information pack (HIP).

The mandatory documents required in a HIP such as:  An index (i.e. a list of the contents of the HIP), a sale statement (summarising the terms of sale), evidence of title, standard searches (i.e. local authority enquiries, a drainage and water search), an energy performance certificate (EPC), common hold information and (where applicable) a copy of the lease. Optional documents include: A home condition report (HCR), leasehold information, guarantees and warranties, plus other searches relevant to the particular area.

All these documents add up, and a typical HIP can be 40 to 80 pages in length depending upon whether you include any of the optional documentation. Storage of HIPs alone take up a whole filing cabinet in no time at all, and with an expected upturn in the housing market, storage space in your office may soon also become an issue.

The software has been designed to enable the user to create a filing structure which can exactly match their existing paper version yet still enable the user to move pages around, copy documents within the software, print directly into the software from external applications, save any file format (e.g. word, excel, pdf, tiff, mp3, video, outlook, etc) or scan directly into the software all without the need to be technically minded.
